Is it possible to edit the "on-call rotation" emails on a per schedule basis?

We have a rotating weekly on-call schedule and a separate rotating weekend schedule in our IT team. I'm trying to find where I can edit the email that's sent that alerts that they're about to be on a weekend shift, as the default mail sent contains the line: "Your on-call schedule rotation is starting:". I don't want to create confusion from this.

Hi @Stephen Solomon ,

The Schedule Start emails cannot be customized at this time. Like you mentioned, the email's subject will consistently follow the format of something like:

"Your on-call rotation for Schedule XYZ is starting now."

^ Notice how the name of the schedule is mentioned, but not the name of the rotation. So it might make sense to break each of these rotations into their own schedule. That way the subject of these emails will vary. You could name the schedules something like:

  • Weekday IT Team Schedule
  • Weekend IT Team Schedule

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

They are separated, I'm just leaving the weekend schedule in a disabled state so it's visible for checking on it but won't send emails. Hoping this will be a future improvement.

Thank you!
