Implement DevOps metrics

Glen January 7, 2021

Hi, does anyone have experience in implementing DevOps metrics? If yes, would you be able to share with me what you did to collect those metrics? Many thanks.

Hi Glen,

This is Darryl, Opsgenie Support. :)

It's awesome to know you are interested in this feature.

As the documentation that you've attached in the question description, the definition has been explained in the paragraph, the same here I pasted it in the reply, and also there is also the explanation of each parameter/index that used in the DevOps Metrics analytics report.

One thing to be noted is
"

Please note that the DevOps metrics are best visualized and meaningful if you connect your Bitbucket workspaces to your Opsgenie account. This feature is currently only available for those who use Bitbucket as their VCS and deployment tool. Further information on Bitbucket can be found here.

"

The team-level DevOps Metrics reports allow you to gauge your team's performance in terms of DevOps by providing relevant metrics and their trends. These metrics include the following primary metrics:

  • Deployment Frequency - How often is your team performing deployments per the time range selected in the filter.
  • Change Failure Ratio - The number of deployments made per number of failures where both incidents and alerts constitute as failures.
  • Meant Time To Respond - The average time taken by your team to resolve incidents.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Darryl Lee

@Darryl Lee Thanks for your reply. We do use Bitbucket as our VCS but deployment tool we use Azure DevOps. Will this still work?
