We don't use OpsGenie for ticketing, but as a way to triage alerts. When we open it, then through automation it opens as a Jira ticket and the engineers work it there.
We are pleased with the OpsGenie API integration, as we've had trouble with emailed Alerts.
While we're slowly moving to Zabbix, I've noticed that through the OpsGenie API, Zabbix Recovery Alerts will update the original OpsGenie Alert and not create a new one.
Our Desk prefers to receive this separate Zabbix Recovery Alert so it's more visible to them.
I've tried several ways to work around this but haven't found the secret yet. Was hoping someone had a solution.

I found a workaround.....better but not perfect as the tags don't pass.
I cloned my email media type and removed all but the Problem recovery template.
Since we use a user account named opsgenie.alert that has the Opsgenie media added to it, I then add this Recovery Alert email media alongside.
