I have CloudWatch integrated with Opsgenie to receive the alarms that are generated in CloudWatch in Opsgenie. Then I have a webhook integration so that those alarms reach an external monitoring tool. I have integrations that are for Non-Productive environments and these alarms should not reach the external tool outside of working hours. How could I configure a webhook or cloudwatch opsgenie integration so that it is not enabled outside of business hours?

Greetings.
Jesus.

Hi Jesus,

This is Mona here, happy to help :)

As I understand, you’re getting alerts created in Opsgenie via Cloudwatch integration which is triggering an outgoing webhook from Opsgenie to an external monitoring tool. Here, you would like to restrict the outgoing webhook to time intervals (business hours only). Please let me know if my understanding is correct.

If the above is the use case, then I would suggest using the Maintenance policy here since there’s no direct way of restricting an integration to a time interval.

Maintenance provides the ability to enable or disable multiple policies/integrations with a single entry where:

Please try it out and let me know if this helps in achieving your use case. In case you have any further queries, please feel free to reach out to us by creating a ticket in this link and we’ll take it from there :)

Thanks!
Mona
