Hi,
When an incident is raised in Jira Service Management, it triggers two alerts in Opsgenie. One appears to be alert for the incident, the other one an alert, that appears to be a dublet. I'd like to only recieve one alert pr incident. How do I get rid of the extra alert?
Hey Uffe,
Thanks for your question!
First, check the Jira Service Management Integration Settings in Opsgenie. Go to Opsgenie > Integrations > Jira Service Management > Advanced Settings and review the alert creation rules. Sometimes, there are multiple rules—one for creating an incident alert and another for a team-specific alert. Disable or modify the redundant rule so only one alert is created per incident.
Also, look at your Jira Service Management Workflow. If multiple automations or integrations in Jira Service Management are set up to trigger Opsgenie alerts, they could be causing duplicates. Streamline these workflows and disable any unnecessary automation rules.
If the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our support team.
Best Regards,
Egor
