If I have multiple Opsgenie teams, is it possible to integrate each one of them with seperate sns topics or are we restricted to a single sns topic?
Scenario: Cloudwatch alarms 1, 2, and 3 send to sns topic maintenance. Cloudwatch alarms 4, 5, and 6 send to sns topic management. If making the jump to Opsgenie, I'd like to create two OpsGenie teams, one to integrate with new sns topic Opsgenie_management and another to integrate with new sns topic Opsgenie_maintenance using the unique endpoint HTTPS subscriptions provided by OpsGenie. This seems like it would be much easier than creating a slew of routing rules for each team to receive notifications.
To sum things up, I want each opsgenie team to only receive cloudwatch alerts appropriate for their group.
Would this be possible? I'm currently trying out the Essentials tier trial.
Hi there Keith,
Thanks for writing into Community, I'm Talar from the Atlassian Opsgenie support team, happy to help!
You most certainly can, yes!
I would recommend upgrading to the Standard trial to make full use of our bidirectional integration with AWS Cloudwatch though - to do this, click on your initials in the top-right corner, choose "Change trial plan" and check at least 1 of the boxes from the "Standard" functionality list then follow the rest of the prompts...
Essentially, this integration will work essentially how you described above. The broad steps are:
Take a look here at our support documentation for more info and steps: https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/integrate-opsgenie-with-amazon-cloudwatch/
You can add multiple of these integrations in your instance, all within 1 team, or in separates teams to suit your needs.
Hope this helps!

Talar
