Hello,
We setup an Opsgenie integration with MS Azure Monitoring.
The Alert from MS Azure Monitoring to Opsgenie is working as per the setup through the docs.
https://docs.opsgenie.com/v1.0/docs/microsoft-azure-service-health-integration
However we notice when we close the alert in Opsgenie the Azure Alert is still open.
When we close an alert in Opsgenie, is there a call back to Azure to close the Azure Alert ?
if yes, anyone know which doc can help us setup this functionality.
thanks,
Hi @shaun99 ,
The Azure Service Health integration does not have any outgoing flow - meaning requests made on the Opsgenie alert will not reflect in Azure.
At this time the integration can only ingest requests from Azure.

hi Nick,
thanks for the info and feedback.
MS team mentioned in their forum they have an REST API that allows an external service to POST back to them changing the state of the Azure Alert to close.
API MS team provided
I notice in the Opsgenie Azure Integration section there is a configuration for close. please see attachment.
is there a way to configure the above API in the Opsgenie close section of the integration ? reason being in the integration guide, Azure post of the requirement parameters to Opsgenie.
thanks,

Some of out integrations, like Jira, have built-in mappable outgoing actions. Meaning actions can be taken on the Opsgenie alert - such as close - and reflect on the Jira issue so change the status, add a comment, etc.
Unfortunately Azure does not have this prebuilt functionality. An alternative that might work is our webhook integration. This can be used to POST back to an endpoint when an action is taken on an Opsgenie alert:
https://support.atlassian.com/opsgenie/docs/integrate-opsgenie-with-webhook/
But I can't for certain say this will work since I don't think we've come across this with other customers.
