Automation to close incidents in Opsgenie after agent closed Jira issue

Hello, we currently integrated a Jira project with Opsgenie. So far the integrations works fine however we would like to do the following if possible:

  • Automate incident closure once the associated Jira issue has been closed.
  • Comment update to the Jira issue once an agent has acknowledged the associated Opsgenie incident.

Note we are using  (Cloud) Jira Service Management.

Hi Snanan,

The Jira integrations interact with alerts in Opsgenie, rather than incidents, so there is not a way to automate incident closure via the integration. To answer your second question, since incidents are not 'acknowledged' there is no way to do this. However, the alerts that are associated with incidents can add a comment to the Jira issue, when acknowledged.

Thank you John!
