Are there plan for GitHub Deployments in OpsGenie

I would like to start sending deployment information from GitHub to OpsGenie. Unfortunately the documentation for the Api's say that only Bitbucket is supported.

  • Are GitHub deployments support a feature on the OpsGenie roadmap
  • If not, can it be opened up to allow you to use the API to created the needed deployment information and send it to OpsGenie

The DevOps metrics screens look quite nice, but not using Bitbucket limits their value.

You may have to use one of the various HTTP request Github Actions to send to OpsGenie API. It doesn't answer your question but it's a workaround until proper integration is available.

Hi Giovanni,

I have tried using the Deployments API (via HTTP rest).

https://docs.opsgenie.com/docs/deployment-api#create-deployment

The releases object seems to be the blocker, as it a required field, and fails because there is no Bitbucket SCM configured (because we are using GitHub)

+1 for this. It appears BitBucket, GitLab and Bamboo are supported but not GitHub.

Following up --- is there any place to raise a feature request for GitHub support?

If possible, could someone from the Atlassian Team weigh in on a solution or workaround for this.

Thx
