Hello, We send multiple alerts from different sources into Ops-Genie and one of the source is GCP stackdriver. We have created multiple alerting policies in GCP and integrated it using GCP Stackdriver integration in Ops-Genie.
Now I have a scenario where there are some nightly refresh happens for some of our services so I would like to suppress those alerts creation in Ops-Genie during that time because they are kind of false positives and happens because of the maintenance. (Please note what I mean here is I don't want Ops-Genie to even create the alert itself).
How do I create something like a daily schedule between 1 -2 AM in the morning for some of the alerting and tell Ops-Genie not to create any alerts? Is that something possible in Ops-genie?
Best Regards,
Shashank
Hi @Agrawal Shashank ,
While we do have maintenance policies that can disable integrations, they aren't able to to work on daily schedules, though we have a feature request for that here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-451
The next best thing, other than preventing the alert from being created, would be to suppress all of it's notifications and then close the alert, which you can do with a notification policy as long as the alert is assigned to the team where the policy is configured.
