API Key for viewing alerts from all teams except one

Hi Friends!

I want to set up API key to retrieve alerts of all teams of my company, except one (say "security" team).

Is there a way to set up such a key? For now it looks that:

- I can either create integration API key to access single team

- or create API key from admin/owner account with access to alerts of all teams

But you see, I want a limited subset of teams to be accessible with that key. Is this possible?

Hi @Rodion Gorkovenko ,

This is Darryl, Opsgenie Support. I am here to help. 😃

Understand that you would like to have a unified API Key to manage across teams, but also be able to define which teams are not accessible by this key.

Unfortunately, this is not feasible in the current design and I have raised a feature request on your behalf, OGS-4146.

We will keep you posted about this ticket and thank you very much for your feedback in helping us improving Opsgenie.

As for now, there are 2 ways to obtain the unified API Key:

  1. Default API integration
  2. API Key Management.

However, none of them is able to define the access permission as you expected.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Darryl, thanks! We shall go with some workaround for now and look forward for the feature to be implemented. I suspect other people also may find it handy :)
