I've been reading through the API documentation for integration and there seems to be a 20 tag limit. Is that limit on the Alert side AND the user side? Can this limit be increased?
We're interested in using opsgenie to notify physicians licensed in various states to review results. I'd like to add a tag for each user for the states they are licensed in and if those tags match the alert, then they should get notified. There are 50 states in the US, and some of our physicians are licensed in more than 20 states.
Hi @Spect Management
That is correct. The limit on tags is set to 20. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to increase this limit. However, we do have an existing internal feature request to Increase the limits of the tags( OGS-2013 ).

Hi Ashish, Is the tag limit on the User side AND the alert side? or Just on the user side?
We're not anticipating our alerts to have more than 20 tags, but could see our users having more than 20. When our automation checks to see which alter will be given to which user, I want to make sure we won't run into issues there.

Hi @Spect Management
As mentioned in the Alert API document, the tag limit for Alert API is 20. I see that the document for User API does not mention a limit on the tags. However, I tried adding multiple tags to a user resource and it looks like you should be able to add up to 50 tags for a user.
Thanks,
