To be more thorough in making sure users are prepared for being on-call, users can test out their contact methods. Here are a few things to consider when testing out the on-call user’s devices and emails.
Push Notifications
When not receiving push notifications, it would be best to check that the “Show Notifications” or “Allow Notifications” toggle is enabled on the user’s phone settings.
SMS + Voice Notifications
Checking that the number inputted in the contact methods is correct would be the first step to making sure sms/voice notifications are successfully sent.
Email Notifications
The most common mistake users make with email notifications would be a misspelled email. Also, making sure that opsgenie@opsgenie.net is not considered spam in your email provider is another place to check if notifications are not being sent via email.

Please note: Google Pixel phones may not receive push notifications. Disabling Adaptive Battery should resolve this.
