We’re excited to announce that our new integration with Snyk is currently in beta! Snyk is a developer-first security solution that helps organizations use open source and stay secure. Integrate Snyk and Opsgenie to notify your team immediately when Snyk detects a licensing or vulnerability issue.
How does it work?
When Snyk detects a licensing or vulnerability issue, an alert is created in Opsgenie and dispatched to the right people based on on-call schedules, routing rules, and escalation policies. Teams can receive alerts via phone call, text message (SMS), push notification or email. The alert will escalate until acknowledgement or closure. The alert comes with context including a list of all of the issues found by Snyk. Here’s a look at a sample alert generated by Snyk:
Getting set up
Since this integration is currently in beta, it will need to be enabled by Support. If you’re interested in giving it a try, please reach out to our Support Team here.
From the Opsgenie side you’ll determine which team to notify when Snyk generates an alert, you’ll also need to configure webhooks in Snyk so that Opsgenie and Snyk can pass information bi-directionally. You can view the full documentation here. Snyk’s blog post outlines how the new Opsgenie integration shifts security incident management left and how the integration works.
