@Darryl Lee I'll hang out and wait for you in the lodge!
I'll be first in line for lessons!
I will be in the lodge drinking some spiked hot chocolate with @Jimmy Seddon and playing board games with @Thomas Schlegel and @Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ ;)
Who wants to play "Pandemic" or are we sick of that game at this point ;)
Ooh, that sounds fun, too. I'll join you after the small children laugh me off the slopes 😄
@Jimmy Seddon - I think, we had enough Pandemic in real life, I don’t need it on the table anymore 😉
Hahah @Jimmy Seddon and @Thomas Schlegel I just did a clearout of our board game collection and I gave away Pandemic. I was like "this no longer seems fun." 😆
@Monique vdB Haha, I’m selling my Pandemic Reign of Cthulhu on Ebay at the moment :-)
I'd definitely be in for playing some games in the lodge. I miss board game evenings - not sure if it is due to the pandemic or due to having small children. 🙃
And yes, Pandemic is also not among our favourite games recently - seems like we're a bit sick of it.
Does this place also count :-)? This is my reading corner :-).
@Hana Kučerová I see nothing wrong with that!
Thanks @Jimmy Seddon ! It just seemed to me @Martina James expected places somewhere outside in the nature :-)
Totally counts!!!
Vacations for Sure, Preferably Beaches
My favorite place to recharge is the lofi girl youtube page.
Reading in my hammock is my favorite way to relax. Of course, being Chicago, this is only an option about 3 months out of the year 😢
My favorite place to recharge:
Sigh...
🤣
This is a great topic! My favorite place to recharge is anywhere along the California coast, preferably with crashing waves. Here is a shot from a hike I went on recently:
Over the past year I have also been getting into watercolor, and painting is definitely a way I recharge! I haven't gotten a chance to paint this week and I really miss it. I've been practicing portraiture; here's a self-portrait I did last month:
Going for a walk in a nice shady lane.
Enjoying awesome views during my daily early morning run. 😊 preferably in the snow ❄️☃️
Early morning walks with my dogs, when the air is crisp and the landscape is under the glow of light fresh from a sun rise.
Easy - spending time pottering in my garden.
I relax by reading while this sort of thing happens around me
I used to be more demanding in the past. But now it's enough for me to grill sausages and drink few beers with family or friends in the garden :)
YES!!! Great point @Martin Bayer _MoroSystems_ s_r_o__ ! It's just starting to get to grilling weather here forgot how enjoyable it is to do that!
I have a great bench tucked away in a park nearby my apartment that is perfect on spring/summer day ☀️
Seeing so many sunny places really makes me crave a trip to the beach! Instead my favourite place to recharge is a long walk with the dogs in the National Trust woodlands right on our doorstep. It's no beach but it's still relaxing 😃
I love to read - I often find I don't do enough of it, but when I get the chance to just sit and get lost in a book I love it
Thanks @Martina James for initiating this thread.
I live in Cambridge now and one of the go to place is Parker's Piece, located at the centre of the city, a spot for playing football and cricket. This place is also regarded as the birthplace of rules of association of football.
At my lake house. Just watching the views and nature. Or any water. This is lake Michigan up by Sheboygan Wisconsin.
South Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Miami. You can't visit Miami without spending time at South Beach. Known by locals as SoBe, this iconic strand is the place to see and be seen. It's the spot where Art Deco architecture meets high-end modern design.
