I am a complete newcomer to Jira and I need to learn its very basics to start using it. And doing it very fast, indeed!
I would be grateful for any suggestions I may receive.

Hi Edison,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I guess the question I'd have to ask is "what knowledge/skills do you need?"
E.g.
There are some really good free courses available on the Atlassian University website
https://university.atlassian.com/student/catalog/list?category_ids=21734-free-training
If you need to get Atlassian certified, there are some fairly in-depth certification courses but you'll need to pair that with a lot of practical experience.
I'd also recommend just starting up your own free Jira Cloud instance as a sandbox.
You can spin up a Jira Cloud instance with 10 standard licenses for free.
If you need to understand the differences between user roles, I'd recommend creating a few different users with different email addresses so you can compare what is possible with each role.
Hope this helps!
Mike

If you are looking for something a bit more in-depth, my company does offer relatively inexpensive Jira training. Our training classes emphasize real-world examples and they include hands-on access to a Jira environment configured with realistic projects and examples. We partnered with our local PMI chapter for this. We have a couple coming up over the next 6 months:

Welcome to the community @Edison MARTINS BRAUN!
@Mike Clarke has a great suggestion, I'd go one step further and recommend the Jira Fundamentals course specifically. It's designed for people like you who are brand new to Jira and it's also free.
Also don't hesitate to join the "New to Jira" group and ask questions there. People will be happy to help you get started!
Good Luck!
-Jimmy
