Hi everyone 👋
My name is Linh and I'm based out of Malaysia. I'm familiar with Jira as a collaborator, been using the tool for various project types (especially non-dev projects). I've recently transitioned to a technical team, which requires me to gain new skills in Jira administration. So I look forward to learning from you all!

Hi all,
I am new to Jira. Happy to be a part of the group.
Thanks.
I started using Jira and Confluence around 2009, I don't remember the exact time. Since then I have been working with the toolset on consultancy basis and the last year as a full internal admin and agile specialist
Experienced Jira enthusiast since 2012, when I discovered it while searching for project management and task management tools for Linkcare Health Services. Currently, I have implemented Jira in large corporations and multinationals across Spain, elevating project efficiency.
Passionate about Jira, I excel in Scriptrunner, Jira, Kanban, Confluence, Integrations, and more. Sharing knowledge through writing articles on mraddon.blog, I'm eager to assist and explain any Jira-related queries.
Adding a touch of humor, "NO JIRA NO PARTY" is a phrase close to my heart, resonating with the team spirit that Jira brings to the office.
Hey team. I'm so glad to join the group properly.
I first found out about Jira about 8 years ago when I joined a platinum solution partner.
I have been working in very close proximity with Jira for the last 8 years. I keep learning every day but have luckily been able to learn the application in great detail.
I love automation and the integration between applications so any news along those topics will be incredibly interesting to me.
I have never used Jira before, and this is my first experience. I want to learn about all the Jira features.

Good Morning,
New to Jira and found out about it during a new integration project. Then I became a project manager and fell in love with it.
Needing examples of project layouts to see processes.
My funny example using Jira is making it up as I go!
You and I have similar experiences with Jira. Including the making it up as we go.
Hi,
I'm very motivated to learn everything you know.
Hello All

Hi everyone!
Hello all,
I am not new to Jira but wasn't really using it the right way until this year. Have a lot to learn to do the right thing with this tool to truly make the team more effective and better managed.
Hi,
I'm Dam, an Atlassian Certified Expert, working on the Atlassian Stack since more than 14 years. CEO of Adadam, a small IT Company in South West of France (near Bordeaux), specialized in Atlassian apps development.
I'm also known as “Dam” has more than 15 years of experience in IT, starting as a Java developer and then evolving and learning Agile methodologies as a scrum master and product owner. He is now dedicated and totally “in love” with the Atlassian stack.
Finally you should have heard about me in one of the Atlassian keynote during the last Team 23 event... 😃 In which keynote is it? 😊
I'm here to help and share my experience on Jira...
I am using Jira and Confluence since more than 3 years now. First as Project Manager and now as Partner Manager. I love to see the status of each ticket and how work is going on.
And I love your suits @Dave Wuensch _Decadis AG_ !
Hi~
I'm not necessarily new to JIRA as I've been using/administering it since 2007/2008. BUT, every day I learn something new about its features & functionalities.
Having used JIRA Server most of my career, when switching to Cloud last year, it was like learning all over again. Well, not completely. There are definitely nuances between the two...limitations in Cloud, available/unavailable add-ons, etc. The learning never ends.
Since each company I've worked with uses JIRA differently, I've learned quite a bit along the way. Never had I ever used Automations or Jira Service Desk before my current company, so that has been the biggest learning curve most recently.
I am most interested in automating processes. Wherever I can add a workflow post function or an automation to 'skip' manual steps in the process, I'm all about it. Problem is gaining buy-in from stakeholders. No one seems to be interested in relieving manual steps. I don't know if it's an 'old school' mentality, fear of losing control, or a combination of both, but I've had many conversations, butted heads many times, and lost some opportunities to 'do more' as a result. BUT, when I do have the opportunity to move forward, it's a proven win-win for all!!
There are so many little funnies along the way....but how I got started still makes me chuckle the most! I was sitting next to a coworker who was playing around in Confluence one day. Being a new hire, I asked if they use JIRA & Confluence as their tools of choice. Be careful what you ask!!!! He asked if I had experience with the tools and I explained my end user experience at my last job. A week later, I was building an entire Confluence site from scratch for the company. A few months later, after their most recent attempt to implement an application for 'bug tracking' failed, I was tasked with finding a new one. They chose JIRA of the handful of tools I presented to them. I was given the task of setting up JIRA from out of the box to company-wide tool with a deadline of yesterday! I read a lot of documentation, searched a lot of community notes, and thankfully, implemented their solution just a few months later.
And, the rest is history...or present, actually! ;-)
I've used Jira in multiple projects during my time as a consultant. Today I'm a Org-, Jira-, Confluence Admin and Business Process Consultant and implanted Jira Cloud (JSW, JWM, JSM) in our company for a couple of departments, internal and external customers. While I can't remember the year by when I started using my Jira journey, I guess it started apx. 2010.
While the first use of Jira was in Software development projects the "classic way", we use it now to manage our line of production as a wingman for our ERP. Automation is used heavily to integrate multiple projects in a loose architecture.
And it's great to see that most business requirements can be solved within Jira.
Fun fact: While I was late introduced to a business project already discussed in detail the need of KPIs and which balanced scorecards could be used, I took a shortcut and closed this project by presenting the out-of-the-box charts of jira and added some dashboards.
Hi, I'm Dave!
I first learned about Jira when I joined the CRM Team at my current employer. I loved how it kept everything I needed to do in one place... and I still do! Having adult ADD can be tough, and Jira doesn't solve everything, but it sure does make work easier!
I've been an Atlassian Administrator for about a year now and while we had adopted Jira, we hadn't really done anything with automation.... and right when I thought Jira couldn't get any better it did!
Currently, I'm most enjoying building automations for our teams. It started with just creating some subtasks when a task was created but we've gone much further since!
I'd love to hear the automations others have built that they are most proud of. I see some really cool answers out there and it makes me wonder what amazing automations exist!
The first time I met Jira was last Nov. in my new company.
