I just posted my intro here, but a quick summary is that I know Team '23 will have a heavy focus on the Service products due to the Atlassian goal to end BSM, so I am joining the group to learn alongside everyone else!

Hi everyone,

New here and ready to share some information with you :

  • How long have you been using Jira Service Management ?
Since it's inception, before even it was named Jira Service Management and an Atlassian product, some of you may remember VertygoSLA acquisition in 2013 by Atlassian.
    Yes I'm old :D
  • Have a special or unique use case for JSM?
A lot, especially for non-it teams. We can discuss them, feel free to contact me

  • Any fun facts you want to share? I love Hearthstone and WoW for gamers in the room :)

Wish you a wonderful day,

Fabrice

Hello Everyone.

My Name Is Sachin Dhamale. I am from India. I am Atlassian Product Specialist.

I am using JSM tool since 4 year now.  Its one of the best ITSM tool in the market.

Its very user friendly and has good features.

every customer wanted to use the feature of JSM in the jira software like SLA, Parallel Approvals, Customer feedbacks and all. However this features are not available on the Jira Software so we recommend them to use JSM.

Hello everyone,

I'm thrilled to be a part of this new group! I've been using Jira Service Management (JSM) for about six years now. It has been quite an amazing journey to witness JSM transform from its beginner stages to become a leader recognized by Gartner. I've had the privilege to observe its evolution and have developed a deep understanding of its capabilities and potential.

I've seen JSM grow and mature over the years just like one would see in a child. This journey has been an extraordinary testament to the hard work of the Atlassian team and the community.

Looking forward to sharing experiences, tips, and learning more from this group!

Hey all! My name is Geneva, my first introduction to Jira was 14 months ago when I started with my current company as their HR Coordinator, we use Jira and Confluence currently but I started looking into ways our HR team can better support people and came across JSM. Programs like this don't come very naturally to me so I want to look into all my possible resources to try to make this build a success!

Hello!  New to JSM, though I'm not new to service management.  I'm ITIL certified and worked as a Remedy Administrator for 15+ years and have worked in ServiceNow for several years.  I manage Jira Software so I'm expanding my knowledge of the Atlassian suite of products (including JSM).  So far, I'm finding it very easy to use (not surprisingly since I've managed our company instance of Jira Software for 6+ years so I'm familiar with the software).  Looking forward to seeing what JSM has to offer...

TBH, posting for the Kudos.  LOL  Not new to Atlassian software but am relatively new to JSM (used to manage Remedy app, have used ServiceNow for years and I'm ITIL-certified).  So I'm just tinkering with JSM in my PoC Cloud instance.  May use in an enterprise capacity in the future...

Hi @Mikael Sandberg  I started using JSM a month ago. So far I've setup a Change Management process for my company. People here now use JSM to create any service, change request tickets from the Service Management. My teams are getting used to the practice of creating tickets for simple tasks such as admin access to any product, request for new hardware, production access, etc.

I have already used the JSM with my clients, to help them manage their incidents and give excellent service to their users, in addition to using some add-ons they give it incredible potential.

Hi!

I've been using JSM since it was called JSD.

What I've noticed is that the extreme price difference for companies that was using Insight for Jira Server and want to migrate to Cloud but still use Insight (The fact that you need to pay for premium support in order to keep Insight) is/was a very hot topic lately.

While I do understand that supporting customers that use the Asset management tool is difficult, it is still such a big price difference that it will for sure make some companies at least consider other tools than Atlassian for this specific reason. I hope that's not the case though :)

/Markus

Hi all,

I've been using JSM for a few years but have noticed a massive uptake in interest from customers in JSM over the last year or so.
It's been incredibly interesting watching the tool evolve and to learn more about it's massive list of features.
I've recently finished an ITIL Direct Plan and Improve course to help qualify for ITSM Technical Delivery Accreditation and to get a better idea of how to align JSM configuration with different customer needs.

I'm keen to learn how others are using JSM, and what they love/hate about the tool

Thanks

Mike

Hello everyone. I'm Derius Ervin. We have been using JSM going on three months now. We switched over from Freshservice. We have gotten comfortable with basic manual things. My goal is to be as close to being ISO20000/ITIL compliant as possible. Which is taking longer to hone our tickets and process to head in that direction. Every step forward is a win for us. Looking forward to interacting more with this community. Thank you all for your time.
