Prompt for comment on transition

I am in the process of setting up Jira Service Desk and having a play with both classic and next gen projects to decide what suits us better. In the classic one, when an agent moves an issue from Escalated to In Progress it prompts for assignee and comment to be added. The next gen one doesnt do this and i cant work out how i configure this. I think its a post function on the workflow transition that next gen doesnt support, am i correct? Any way to implement this on next gen project?

You are right!

Currently, Next-gen projects don't have the edit option for workflows. Here is the Atlassian request JSWCLOUD-17434, you can vote/watch the request for updates.
