Intranet site

Manny Rodriguez February 13, 2020

In my last company we had Confluence Server which sat behind a firewall.   We gave allowed view only to anonymous users which limited it to just 5 admin licenses.

At my current employer we have cloud.  If we go anonymous, all of the public can see our pages.   How do we accomplish the same thing where we only have a handful of admins yet our employees can view the site?

Hi @Manny Rodriguez

as you're using Cloud the former setup cannot be achieved by simply allowing anonymous access. That's where you're right. You will have to manage the users which means to increase the user tier or you could have a single shared user account (for Cloud that would mean an AtlassianID) if this is a reasonable solution. Should your Confluence instance be a source of information for employees that can only be read?

Best, Max
