Hi everyone,
Thank you for signing up for our Early Access Program (EAP). This community group will serve as a forum for any updates, questions, or feedback during the EAP. So, ask questions, share feedback, and connect with the team working on Jira Navigation here.
We’re running this experiment with an extension on the Chrome browser, which is available on the Chrome Web Store.
Note: The extension is available to use in Chrome browsers only, and we don’t support IE, Safari, or other browsers.
To experience the new navigation:
Open the Chrome extension and select Add to Chrome.
Select Add extension and pin it to your Chrome browser so you can easily toggle it on/off.
After you’ve turned on the extension, open your Jira instance. You should see the navigation on the top and side are different. Also, your frequently used menu items may have moved.
If you already have Jira open in your browser window, refresh the page and the new navigation experience should work for you.
We want you to use Jira the way you would normally, while we gather your usage metrics, preferences, behavior, and pattern. If something isn’t working out for you, you can revert to the old experience by toggling off the extension.
While you’re experimenting with the navigation, we intend to understand your usage and preferences so we can refine the navigation experience. Given this is an experiment, we're rolling out a limited set of features, and there may be bugs or unintended behavior. We’ll share more details about these bugs or issues, and you can also raise them in the group.
Details of the program will be communicated in this group. So, be sure to watch this group and set up notifications so you don’t miss anything. If you have any concerns or questions, raise them here in the group or send an email to arajah@atlassian.com.
Regards,
The Jira Navigation team
