New in Structure for Data Center/Server: Formulas at Your Fingertips, Automatic Jira Comments & More

The latest on-prem release of Structure for Jira is all about eliminating extra effort. Find new features aimed to make your day-to-day more convenient in the latest Structure version for Data Center and Server.

Formulas at your fingertips

We’ve taken Structure's built-in formulas and put them all in one dropdown, so that you can get real-time metrics from your Jira data, more easily.

🔢📏 What’s a formula in Jira? We’ve broken it down in this Atlassian Community post.

Save project information as Jira comments — so historical data doesn't get lost

This request comes straight from our users, who frequently use Formulas to calculate data in Structure to get new insights from their Jira data.

The problem is, as issues get closed and projects move along, metrics like "percentage of project completion" or "KPIs met" get updated and replaced in real time, so teams lose the historical values.

In addition, users can now take these metrics from Structure and add them as comments directly in their Jira tickets. The whole team has the history, and no one has to create unnecessary Jira fields. Win-win!

💡 We love hearing from our users so if you have any requests or ideas, we’re all ears!
💬  Comments are just the tip of the iceberg – with Effectors, there's a lot more data you can directly write from Structure and Structure.Gantt to Jira

Never have to ask "who owns this project?" again

Got a long list of projects in your structure and don’t know who owns what? We’re now showing the lead name next to the project, so you can easily find who’s responsible for any project within your organization.

Use your company’s work calendars for more accurate “Time in Status” readouts

As you might know, there are no calendars in Jira, so we’ve added two basic calendars for Structure: one that uses 24 hours/day, and another that uses 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.

But we also know that these generic settings don’t always reflect reality: What if someone is on vacation? Or starts the workweek on Tuesday?

Those who use Structure.Gantt can even be more flexible with the option to use their organization’s Gantt calendars – with exceptions, holidays, and all – directly in Structure, to more accurately calculate Time in Status.

One-stop shop for the whole team

Find a new in-app Welcome Page, with all the information you and your team need to get started with Structure. Jira admins can now also find a configurable section, which they can use to share relevant information, updates, news, etc.

To access all these features, head over to the Atlassian Marketplace and update (or install) Structure 8.1 for Data Center or Server users.

@Kathryn Vargas _Tempo_ Love the idea of making Project Lead more front-and-center. That'll help highlight cases where the lead shouldn't be the lead (either they've moved on, or someone just put in a user as a placeholder during project creation to "get it done"). 🙌
