Automation not recognizing custom field

I am unable to get my automation to recognize a custom field. It appears that the custom field that is being used will not show up when I search for it in the configuration settings of the automation. How do I change this?

Hi Jordan,

Did you create the custom field from a Marketplace app? Just curious why you posted this question in that category. 

If not, and you just created the field, then be sure to refresh the list of Automation rules so it can pick up the field. 

If it's not a new field either, then make sure the field is on the Create screen for the project you are looking to add the automation rule for. 

The last thing - and I don't think it should matter - but maybe the : at the end of the name is messing with it somehow. If you have other fields with the : in it and they are fine, then that's obviously not the issue. If you don't have other fields with a : then why are you using it here? For consistency you should drop the : anyway. Be sure to refresh Automation after you change the name of the custom field though.

  • What type of CF?
  • Where in the config of the Automation?

sorry, its a drop down field with 4 selections.
