Announcing new apps and ways to discover them

Today, we're introducing many new apps to the Atlassian Marketplace that improve collaboration and automate manual processes. We are also launching new ways to help you discover the right tools for your team.

What are apps?

Over the years, many terms have been used to describe the "things" we sell in the Marketplace: plugins, add-ons, integrations, bots, macros, themes and more. Based on customer research conducted last Spring, we learned we need to simplify the way we talk about Marketplace that better represents all the things that can be added to Atlassian products to help you do your job better. In order to keep pace with the rich diversity of listings being offered by our vendors, we've decided to refer to all of listings offered in the Marketplace at an aggregate as apps.

Why you need apps

The Atlassian Marketplace offers over 3000 apps that help teams tailor the entire Atlassian platform to the unique operational and business needs of any company. With painless integration, teams can connect all of the tools they use today to Atlassian products - no coding required. Apps let teams focus on their productivity, not cumbersome process, thanks to apps that automate everything from ticket creation, to workflow management and team notifications.

How to find the right tools for you

You’ll begin to see new app categories on the Marketplace home page, as well as on popular product pages, such as Jira. We have carefully curated several new collections of apps, including charts & diagrams, design tools and project management. You will now find DevOps apps directly in our marketplace on the new DevOps collection page.  Learn more about what these types of tools can do for your business.

Streamline the design workflow with new design apps

To make the design workflow smoother, we're pleased to announce new design apps for Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision, UX Pin, Jusinmind, Figma and Sympli. Thanks to an integrated UX design flow, you can access mockups, assets and style guides directly from Jira or Confluence in a single click. Check the status of an asset or project directly within Jira or Confluence. Version control works the way designers do: either by creating and pushing new versions or automatically syncing updates in Jira when source files are updated. Publish designs and assets to a Jira issue without ever leaving the artboard. Embedded search makes finding the right issue easy.

New apps to help automate DevOps processes

Our users have been asking for more ways to weave their tool chain together to automate manual tasks. With new apps from yasoon and Droplr, eliminate the file hunt by attaching Outlook emails or Droplr files to Jira issues. We're also pleased to announce new apps from Dynatrace, AppDymamics and New Relic to automatically create new tickets with event data and automatic correlation to root cause. LogicMonitor for HipChat cloud will alert the room of your choice when problems arise.

We have several new apps for Bitbucket that help to run builds more smoothly. Continuously find, fix and prevent vulnerabilities in your Bitbucket Server repos with the new Snyk app and updated Sentry app for Bitbucket Cloud. Compile source code, run tests, and produce software packages in AWS CodeBuild from code in Bitbucket Cloud. Run Jenkins pipelines for every feature branch and pull request with the Bitbucket app for BlueOcean. No matter what tools you have in your DevOps tool stack, Atlassian works with practically all of them.

Improve customer service with new communication and CRM apps

There are several new ways to improve communications and delight customers using Jira Software, Jira Service Desk or even your existing service desk solution. New CRM for JIRA Cloud, Salesforce & Jira Server Connector, Salesforce Connector for JIRA, and AtlasCRM for JIRA apps give you a complete view of your customers across support, dev and your Salesforce CRM to help you prioritize requests. Add voice, SMS and live chat Live to Jira Software Cloud and Jira Service Desk Cloud with the new ContactNow, Olark and updated PingPilot apps. New tickets will be appended with a record of your conversations for full context. Using the new Azuqua for JIRA app for Jira Software Cloud, automatically update records in Salesforce or Smartsheet when an issue is updated.

All of these apps, and thousands more, are all available today. Atlassian and our Marketplace vendors will continue to invest in helping teams build better products faster with new apps, new app collections and new ways to help you find the right solutions for you. Find the right solutions for your team in our Atlassian Marketplace.
