Job Overview
We’re looking for an Administrator to work remotely with several functional teams to plan, design, build, and administer ion8’s Atlassian Cloud instance – primarily Jira & Confluence. Your location is not limited to Canada, and the employment term is flexible (full-time, part-time, or contract). Compensation will be based on experience.
Experience | Working Knowledge (including but not limited to):
- 2+ years of experience in Atlassian Jira administration
- Adding custom fields, defining field configurations and schemes
- Building custom workflows including use of conditions, validators, post–functions
- Building custom screens, screen schemes
- Access Management using permission schemes, groups, roles
- Experience with Jira automation, subscriptions, notification schemes
- Manage and maintain Jira projects, test plans, templates, workflows, and permissions
- Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).
- Create Jira dashboards for progress, status management, and metrics tracking
- Experience optimizing and improving process workflows, in addition to identifying where functionality can be improved to meet business and user requirements.
- Provide recommendations to users and management on best practices and standardization in implementing projects and processes within Jira and the Atlassian suite.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Atlassian suite of tools, primarily Jira and Confluence
- Administer, configure, and support Jira and Confluence including projects, spaces, permissions, users, roles, reporting, dashboards, workflows, custom fields, issue security, via scripting, add-ons, and the REST API
- Translate business requirements into well-architectured solutions that best leverage the Atlassian suite of tools we offer
- Build and maintain complex JIRA workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
- Recommend, test, install, and configure JIRA or Confluence add-ons and integrations where appropriate
- Partner with the cross-functional teams to ensure our Jira and Confluence environments remain stable, and that we’re delivering on performance and regular upgrades when appropriate
- Create and maintain runbooks around these platforms
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
- Regularly build and update end-user training documentation targeted for both end-users and the support team
The following certifications are highly preferred:
- ACP-610 (also known as ACP-MJDP): Managing Jira Projects for Data Center (Certification)
- ACP-620 (also known as ACP-MJCP): Managing Jira Projects for Cloud (Certification)
- ACP-420 (also known as ACP-MJSP): Managing Jira Service Projects for Cloud (Certification)
- ACP-120 (also known as ACP-JCA): Jira Administrator for Cloud Certification
- ACP-100 (also known as (ACP-JA)): Jira Administration for Data Center and Server Certification
