Have a look at JaM Plugin.
If you are stuck with QC, then JAM. We had issues with JAM but it mostly worked. Fortunately for us, we discontinued use of both JAM and QC completely. QC is very expensive and has issues :( (pun intended!). See

I'd agree with Bob that you do have to be careful how you set it up. The first sync is critical as you can end up doubling your data but that can happen with any sync software. The last release has come on a long way and I've been finding them quite responsive in fixing bugs. If you're going to do it start simple, only setup the basic field and as you grow in confidence add more & more data & start two way-syncs.

I would recommend using the plugin from the Go2Group. We've been using it for a couple of years now and it's reliable. It doesn't require any changes to HPQC so sounds like it would work.
Their site is reduced at the moment due to the Verizon strike but you can contact them via http://twitter.com/#!/go2group
The product you are after is called the JaM Plugin.
The new version also allows you to sync Requirements & test cases directly in Jira
