import a single screen mask or workflow

is it possible to import a single screenmask or a single workflow from another JIRA system?

Screens, no. Workflows, yes because you can save them as xml and then import them into another Jira. You have to be careful though - the export/import works by keeping the id of some things (screens are the obvious one, but if you've got plugins that provide things like "make field X mandatory", then the id of field X is on stored as an ID), so unless your screens, fields and so-on all match in the old and new systems, you will find you need to do a spot of search and replace
