Currently, when we type @ and the name of the user, the mention will show their username, and after we click to comment, it will show the full name that they have added on id.atlassian.com.
Just for us to check if there is a feature request or a workaround, can you please let us know what would you like to change on the mention?

ah yes, I c, if I save the mention it properly displays his name, until that his username.
I've the problem that one of my freelancer registered with his info@fobar.com email address, now his username is "info", and its quite irritating to have me mention him "Max" and it displays "@info" until I save. (didnt realize it updates to the name afterwards).
Is there a way that he can update his username somewhere to "max" instead of "info"?

Usernames were removed from Atlassian Cloud due to GDPR, so it's not possible for the administrator or the user to change this information.
