You can't do this out of the box. Check out this feature request to include last comment in issue navigator column: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-2734 A few comments there mentioned some plugin solutions, although I have not tried.

You should usw the plugin "Essential Custom Fields for JIRA". This plugin contains "All comments" field which can be exported to Excel.

You can use Intelligent Reports to export any parts of comments you want to Word. Unfortunately it does not directly support Excel export, but you could copy and paste the table into Excel.

Hi Craig,

Unfortunately comments cannot be included in Excel export.. You can only export comments when you will do an export all issues to Word. In this case all comments will be available.
