can't disable shortcut key Alt-C

Austin Burke October 4, 2024

Within the last day or so Jira seems to have introduced Alt-C as a shortcut to create a new issue. This conflicts with my (non-atlassian) preferred use of Alt-C.

I've followed the instructions (both this and this) to disable keyboard shortcuts:

And that worked for all the other shortcuts. (For example, when I type "e" it now correctly doesn't edit an issue.)

But the Alt-C shortcut keeps working, despite the above setting.
How can I disable Jira's use of Alt-C?

Thank you.

P.S. Our company is on Jira v9.4.15, which we host ourselves (not Atlassian Cloud). And my browser is 64-bit Chrome version 129.0.6668.90. Restarting my browser and clearing cache didn't help either.

Hi Austin,

Trying this out myself and we are on a higher version then you, 9.12.x I am not able to reproduce this. I would recommend first reaching out to your company admin as it maybe something configured on the company level and then after sending support zips over to Atlassian, which your company admin would know how to do

Best,

Clark
