Xray Documenting Or Constraining Change of Test Execution Status

Hello! 

Once we have the freedom to change the status of a test execution, I am trying to understand the following:

1. If this change can be limited to some Jira users or if anyone can change this anytime;

2. If I can see that someone changed it, if yes who and when. In the secction "Changes" of the Ticket I dont see any register after I change something. This could be a real problem in my opinion.  

 

I couldn't find any information about this in the documentation or here in the forum.

Hi @C_ Bönitz 

Test executions are equal as native jira issues. Therefore they can have an own workflow. Within the workflow it can be specified who is allowed to do a specific transition (either a specific user, user group or project role). Please contact your Jira admin who is responsible and has the permission to edit workflows.

regarding your 2. question:
As mentioned before this is a jira native workflow action and any change of a workflow status can be seen in the issue. I don´t know exactly what is meant with the "changes" section but there is a section at the very bottom of each issue called "Activity" where you will find all information/comments/transitions/changes regarding your issue (see screenshot):
