Hi KS1,

The reason for this is because an iOS App can have 2 versions.

  • 'Bundle Version', which is used by the developer to determine the exact build number of a binary.
  • 'Bundle Version Short', which is a human readable version number, for display in the App Store, or in the App itself.

The Version in the Crash Report is the former, while the version in App Version in the Environment field in JIRA is the latter.

If you have Versions defined in your JIRA project for both Bundle Version and Bundle Version Short, then both will get mapped to the Affects Version field in JIRA.

As an example, see the crash I created here https://connect.onjira.com/browse/NERDS-32449

1.2.0 is the short version, and 43 is the bundle version.

Cheers,

Nick
