Although i tried to setup the version hierarchy as described in the GreenHopper 5.9.x documentation i was not able to create parents and childs. Reading some question belonging to the same problem here many of them have the same problem, but some were able to use the "add" button. I searched for this function but without success.

Additionally although we created a sprint in GreenHopper it isn t reflected in JIRA, i expected it in the default issue field "GreenHopper Sprint".

Due to this reason at the moment the whole platform is not very useful regarding sprint organisation...

Have referred to these documentation on how to organize Sprints?

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GH/Setting+Up+a+Version+Hierarchy

Also are you using Rapidboard of the original Planning Board in Green Hopper?

GH uses the fixVersion field itself for managing the versions while Rapid board uses its own new field called Sprint for this.

For the first problem i found out something useful:

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/19421/why-can-t-i-create-versions-from-the-planning-board

No idea why per default an admin doesn t get admin permissions, but no this part works!

At the moment we re using the planning board but trying out the rapidboard as here sprints and backlogs are available by default. What we re wondering is that both workflows doesn t seem to be aligned...
