Version/Epic Report do not obey boards Estimation setting

Our projects have many long running tasks that are tracked via time spent being logged against them and remaining estimate updates. Hence our Jira board Estimation setting is configured to use "Remaining Estimate and Time Spent".

However the Version and Epic Reports appear to completely ignore this setting. They are only showing burnup based on Original Estimate when a task is completed.

This makes the reports completely useless when using "Remaining Estimate and Time Spent" Estimation for a board. Am I missing something here?

I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to the same question, and as mentioned there, there is a feature request suggesting this:

• As a JIRA Agile user, I would like to see the Estimated Remaining Effort to be taken into account in the Sprint, Version, and Epic Reports

I'm sharing here in case other community members face the same issue.
