Hi, I need to import epics into one of my existing projects.
I'm able to perfectly map all CSV fields with epic fields, but I'm unable to map the 'Status' as it does not appear in the list.
Irrespective of the status of an issue in the csv file, the epics are getting imported in 'To-Do' status.
Can anyone please help resolve this challenge?
Importing status is not feasible via bulk import as different projects may have different transitions.
once the issues are imported, you can use bulk transition to move them to correct status.
Alternatively, you will need JIRA Admin privileges to use
Settings -> System -> External System Import > CSV.
You will be able to import status from here.
Hi @Saad Ahmad
This import has to be done by anyone having Jira administrator permissions and the steps mentioned by @Vishal Biyani
Note, if using status on import the status must exist in Jira and be available on the issue type workflow that you are importing.
New statuses can't be created on importing.

@Marc - Devoteam @Vishal Biyani I'm the organization admin and have full rights.
i need to import epics into one specific project and I used the status that exists in the workflow linked with the same project.
The problem is, if you my screenshot above, I'm unable to map my csv's 'status' column with the jira field 'Status'. it's not even appearing in the list (please see screenshot).
