Trouble deleting an issue type from team-managed project

Marion Richardson

I created a new team-managed project with the following issues:

1 Name given

0 Name given

0 Want to delete, but can't

-1 which is a sub-task

Screenshot 2025-03-04 at 11.09.11.png

I try to delete the above issue type but it says I have 1 issue in the project with that type. However, I do not! I just want to remove that level 0 and have only one active level 0 in use. Both 0 level have the same set up from what I can see!

Please help.

Hey @Marion Richardson

You're getting this error message because the fields including for both issue types are different.

You will need to either update the fields in this issue type to match the destination issue type, or you can select the "Change issue type manually" option to update the issue type of the existing issue.

If you're unable to locate the concerned issue, it might have been archived. You'll have to restore the archived issue to be able to update it's issue type.

Thanks!
