Tempo Timesheets says its Incompatible with JIRA 8.1.0

Chris McInnes April 18, 2019

Hi All,

Have just upgraded to JIRA 8.1.0 (on premise)

Before doing this upgraded Tempo Timesheets to 9.4.2

Post the upgrade Tempo has been disabled and its saying its "Incompatible" with the current version but there is no option to upgrade to v10?

I've tried a server reboot, index rebuild and disabling/enabling the plugins.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the plugin? Didn't want to do this in case we lost data etc.

Thanks

Chris

Hello Chris,

It looks like you can download version 10.2 which is compatible with Jira 8.1 from the tempo version history page on the marketplace listing here:

To manually upload and install this version, grab the .obr file from the link above for the appropriate 10.2 version for either Jira Standalone or Jira Datacenter, then navigate to to the Administration page for "Manage Apps" and select the "Upload app" option to manually install this version:

Additional details on this process can be seen here:

Once you have uploaded the version manually you should be all set, and let me know how it goes or if you are still encountering errors so I can take a closer look.

But, if the install is still failing on a manual install, I would also recommend reaching out to Tempo Support for additional troubleshooting through their support portal at the link:

Regards,
Earl

Thanks Earl,

I tried the manual install but was still getting errors.

Ended up uninstalling all the tempo app components and reinstalling from the marketplace and so far everything seems to be okay.
