Sum of time spent not showing in epic

Hi,

in JIRA my team is tracking times on Stories and Bugs and we would like to see the sum of time spent. This works successfully in the issue search and on a specific epic board. However, the issue sidebar does not show the time spent field.

Epics are configured to not show time reporting as we do not want people to accidentally report time on them.

Are there any ideas on how to get the field to show up in the issue sidebar?

sum of timespent is something that appear by default at parent issue level. If you want to sum time spent at epic level for all linked stories/bugs you could put in place an automation.

That's unfortunate as the data is available on some screens but I guess this will have to do then.
