Hello,
I have a JIRA workflow, which contains 2 levels of validation. I would like to set it according to the reporter.
Example:
if the reporter = A, the flow must be approved by X.
if the reporter = B, the flow must be approved by Y.
Is there a way to do this ?
Best regards;
Hi @Soukaina BOUKIR , thanks for your question.
You could use an automation for this, to set the value. I have explained how to configure a rule using a lookup table here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Based-on-one-custom-field-value-other-field-value-should-be/qaq-p/2900646
Another possibility might be to use components and set the component value from the reporter and then assign the issue to the component lead for approval.
How are you doing the approvals?
Best wishes
Hi @Valerie Knapp ,
Thanks for you answer.
Let's suppose it's a workflow with 4 status:
1- Opened
2-Approved By Manager
3- Approved By Director
4- Closed.
If the issue reporter is person X, the manager and director would be Marketing Manager and Marketing Director.
If the issue reporter is person Y, the manager and director would be HR Manager and HR Director.
Thanks.

Hi @Soukaina BOUKIR , thanks for your reply.
Do you have Assets? This would be a good way to store this basically org chart type data and to leverage the relationships between the different members of staff. Is this a possibility?
Cheers
