We have created the send email addresses in JIRA but they are not sending the emails to external email addresses like gmail/yahoo.

Some sites block mail going outside the firewall or domain unless it is from the exchange server.

If you are receiving mail locally but not externally, check your mail server configuration, not the JIRA one.

What does your log file say? Can you try enabling mail logging if there are no errors in the logs?

Hi,
We have two email exchange servers. One of the SMTP servers didn't allow mails outside our LAN. Other mail server allowed mails outside our LAN so I changed SMTP Mail Server to the second one which allows.
