Hi Atlassian Community,
I am working on a migration project to move from Zephyr Squad to Xray within Jira Cloud. This involves a large dataset, with around 30 projects and a substantial amount of test case data. Given the volume and complexity, I want to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining data integrity and completeness. I would appreciate any guidance, best practices, or lessons learned from those who have undertaken a similar migration.
Hi @naveen arroju ,
if you had Xray on Jira server/dc you could use the tool that it provides to migrate to Zephyr Squad on Jira server/dc; eventually you could also do this as an interim step to migrate then to Xray on jira cloud.
However, if you are already using Jira cloud and Zephyr Squad on Jira cloud, and if you wish to migrate, it seems that the Xray team has available some documentation pages that may help you out:
I have done this in the past but not on cloud but my general recommendation would be to consider migrating some projects, check them out and then repeat the process for the remaining projects. Note that these tools are quite different, so don't expect a full migration of all things.
You can nevertheless contact Xray vendor and check if they have other resources or ask for an improvement to make that migration as something that becomes part of the product.
