×We're starting to leverage the Forms feature (at /jira/software/c/projects/PROJECT/form) in our Software Project but surprised to find that the "Reporter" field is not an available option—even though "Assignee" is. I've familiarized myself enough at this point to create custom fields and make them available to the form, just can't figure out how to do so with the Reporter field.
Does this come down to a limitation in the Forms feature?
Thanks in advance!
As @Harrison Ponce mentions, this is a limitation of SW forms.
Feel free to send an improvement at the bottom of the form.
For now, the reporter will be set to the one who creates the ticket.
You can create another user picker field, then with automation you can change the reporter based on that field.

Hi Chris,
Yeah, it doesn't look like that field is available for Software forms. You can create the issue and change the value after the fact. You might want to open a ticket with Atlassian Support to get their feedback as to why it is not available.

We've also noticed that the fields in Jira forms are heavily limited.
One workaround might be to do a custom people field for and then have an automation on the backend to copy that into the Reporter field.
