Hi

I have received a quotation for JIRA and GeenHopper Software renewal (Quote No. AT-279600) which I am finding this very expensive. I have purchased this last year and I have only upgraded the software once.

If I don't renew this software now could I renew in 6 months time?

Many Thanks

Claire

Talk to sales@Atlassian.com about this.

Generally though, yes, you can let the license lapse (you won't lose any functionality) and then re-purchase later. This will be treated as a new license though, and not a "renewal", so it may not be worth it. Atlassian will be able to explain exactly what will happen in terms of costs.

correct, your product will continue to work. You just won't be able to upgrade, or request support.

Annual support is charged at 50% of the new price. If you plan to upgrade or expect a critical support ticket in the next two years it is cheaper to pay the support now.

I don't know about you, but we wouldn't run an application like Jira without support. Also, Jira is constantly updated and the chance of going two years without seeing at least one must-have feature is remote. We upgrade on a six month cycle, plus or minus. The latest Jira will make upgrades easier so we might do more.

For a big organisation like us, Jira is nicely priced compared to just about everything else. YMMV.
