×Hello All,
I just want to know, if there is any way to start a rule with trigger - Initiator is "Automation for Jira"
This could give us multiple solutions; any inputs could be appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
Hello, to confirm, automation rule number 1 will make an action based on that, you need to trigger second automation rule ?
Yes, correct. If a field is updated by rule 1, i.e., by "Automation for Jira," then the second rule should be triggered.
Thanks for the response @Mohanraj Thangamuthu

Thanks, on the second rule make sure to enable the option "Check to allow other rule actions to trigger this rule. Only enable this if you need this rule to execute in response to another rule."
This should help.

Hi Aravindh - Welcome to the Atlassian Communty!
Correct, you can add a condition for the initiator being the Automation for Jira user.
Then in your second rule, make sure the box is checked on the Rule details page to allow the rule to be executed by another rule.

Thanks for the response @John Funk
but when I try to choose “User Condition” and start typing “Automation...” it is not popping out - “Automation for Jira”, it shows something as “deleted user?”.
What do you think on this issue?

Are you still needing help? You marked the other answer as accepted.

Actually, it's a different issue, When I tried your suggested steps, in the "Initiator" field, Jira cannot identify "Automation for Jira", instead it was showing something like "deleted user?" (Attached screenshot in the question). It could be very helpful if we find out why it is happening.

Does it say deleted user for an existing rule? Or when you add that step new?
