Hello, I use one jira project to monitor web site outages. The jira is automaticaly created using monitoring system (Monitis). Then when the issue is resolved the ticket is updated by Monitis. For The statistical purpose I need that the update (with specific text) would resolve the ticket. I may need to update it before and after but that particular update coming from Monits has to resolve it. How can I do this with Jira?
It sounds like you already have Monitis making Jira updates (presumably over REST calls) - you probab;y need to add or edit these to make more updates.
Yes Monitis would create the JIRA ticket and the update on resolution. The problem is that the update doesn't change the status of the ticket. What I need that the update would chenge the status from open to Resolved. Is there a way in JIRa that it would detect certain string in comment and if found change the status of ticket?
