Can I create a central roadmap for work being done across Jira instances?

We have separate teams that have their own Jira Software instances where they track their work. As a company, we want to have a centralized roadmap that can connect to tickets to accurately track the progress of the roadmap items.

Jira Product Discovery seems to be the best place to do this.

- Is there a way to connect Delivery Tickets from other instances without having to migrate Jira Software boards to the same instance?

- Is there another product or method of doing this that can be used instead of Product Discovery? I know Atlas can connect across instances, but does not have a roadmap feature.

Hey @Daniel Miljak

welcome to the community.

One idea would be to synchronize all the tickets to one instance. So, your teams can keep working in their own instances as they're doing right now, but you're synchronizing all or a subset of issues into your central instance which you can then use for your planning and reporting.

If you want to go that way, I'd recommend that you use an issue sync app to do so. Please note that I'm part of the team behind one of these apps, Backbone Issue Sync. You can define which issues you want to synchronize and also more fine granular which fields of the issues, statuses, etc. Please reach out to us if you want to have a discussion about it.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Welcome to the community, @Daniel Miljak  👋

Unfortunately, this is not possible today. You might want to raise a feature request with Atlassian.
