REST API - "notification" : true not working in version 8.0.2

Hi Team,

When I use this REST API -rest/api/2/user along with below attribute in version 8.0.2,  there i s no email notified to the user created.   Can you please advise me on this issue?

"notification" : true

Don't see any response. Is any one can answer for my query raised?  why notification flag is not working in version 8.0.2
