We currently use Adobe Acrobat Standard DC to add comments (text) to pdfs and save. We then attach pdf to jira issue for documentation. When we click on the attachment for viewing in jira the pdf shows duplicate text for the comments added. This makes it difficult to read. If we download the pdf from jira attachment to local drive and open the file with adobe it looks normal. What is it about the jira pdf viewer that is causing this?
Thanks
Ben
Hi @Ben O_Brien
To better understand what you see can you add:
- A screenshot of what you see on the screen
- Does this happen for everyone?
- You mention you add comments to the PDF using Acrobat, then you upload that PDF. That comment itself looks scrambled?.
- All comments added by the app? if you use another app to add comments does this happen?
Regards
Aaron
-See attached screenshot. Text callout in red box is intended. Small text 'textcallout' is not. I also placed a sticky note comment, text comment, and text box comment.
-I just tested with a co-worker, same problem occurs.
-The comment is still there as intended, but duplicate text of different size and random location is added, sometimes over top of intended text.
-It appears most comment types are doing it. We don't have another pdf editor software currently on our workplace computers.
