Making the Custom fields Mandatory on the Screens other than Create and Edit.

HI Team,

I have the Resolve Issue screen on the Resolve Transition in one of my workflows where I need to add one Custom field on the Transition screen.

Now, when I make this field mandatory from the Field Configuration of the project then it is working fine, but while creating the issue from create issue screen, it throws the error displaying the Field say"abc Field" is mandatory. But this field is not present on the Create Issue Screen and only present on the Resolve issue screen.

Can anyone help on this. I have made this field mandatory using javascript and its working, but why the default settings for making the field mandatory is not working in this case.

Please help.

Regards,

NIKHIL.

It is a known issue. When a field is made mandatory, it is needed on all screens irrespective of where the field is present. You must use workflow validators to make a field mandatory in te 'Resolve Issue' screen.

You can find the 'Field Required' validator in JIRA Suite Utilities.

Hi Jobin, Is there a way to resolve this? I want to enter the description during 'Resolve' stage only. How is the Behaviours Plugin help? I have installed the same in our jira version. How to proceed next? Best Regards, Vinod
