Jira access denied when trying to connect it to my Notion account

Jira access was denied when trying to connect it to my Notion account. How to troubleshoot it?

Welcome to the community.

This probably has to do with permissions, contact both you my notion and/or Jira admin to help you sort this out.

Do you have access to both applications individually and is the account used in both application the same, is it SSO or 2 separate accounts?

I have access to both of them but they cannot be synced.

Do you have access to the required JIra project, Do you have the permissions on this project?

Do note that in that document it states you need to be on Jira Cloud, it doesn't work with self hosted instances.
